Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

 Hi everybody!

In this publication, I am going to talk about a country that I would to visit. The country I want to refer to is Italy, because although I consider it very interesting to have the opportunity to know several countries in Europe, Italy is certainly a country that I don't want to leave aside. To begin with, I am very attracted by its landscapes and the geographic place in which it's located, since it's a peninsula surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, high and abundant mountains and hills, besides having many coastal towns. Not to mention the two large islands belong to the country.                                                                                        

 

One of the cities that amazes me the most, is Venice, which is characteristic for being a city built on 118 islands connected by many bridges and water canals that are used as streets.

The other feature that really strikes me about Italy is its rich culture. It is an ancient country, with a very particular architecture and historical monuments such as the Roman Colosseum

Italian gastronomy is also one of the most important characteristics of this culture, the specialties of this country are pizzas and dough, such as: spaghetti, gnocchi, croissant, etc. 

It's also said its inhabitants are very friendly and sociable, as well as very accepting of tourist, something that isn't seen everywhere. It's for these reasons that I would like to visit Italy, travel through its different cities, visit the Roman Colosseum, Venice, the culture and the language. In addition to enjoy the famous gastronomy of pizzas and pastas that exists in Italy.

    I really love Italian food, it is one of the cuisines that catches my attention the most, what would my life be without pizzas?

Time travel to the past

 Hello everyone! In today's blog I will talk about the era I would like travel to, if I could travel back in time. For a class I had to do a paper on the social context that the country lived in the early 20th century, a period whit great influence of the United States and I researched about "The Roaring Twenties" and the "American Way of Life". As I did the work and read more about these years, I couldn't stop thinking about how much fun it would have been to live in the United States at that time. I would like to have live that, because of the way of life, because of rhe economic abundance that the end of the First World War left in the country. It was a decade of many social and cultural advance, mass production was encouraged, the development of the film industry and the great feminist movement that originated the historical context of the moment, is very interesting and I find it very entertaining to have lived.
